Centre County Food Pantries
Centre County Office of Adult Services coordinates the funding available through the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture for food services. The State Food Purchase Program (SFPP) and the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) are opportunities to receive food for our local food pantries. Central Pennsylvania Community Action Agency is the lead agency for the programs and provides coordination to supply the food pantries. For eligible individuals and families in Centre County, you can access one of our local food pantries to register to receive food.

Emergency food services are available to anyone in the county working with a local human service agency. A bag of groceries (provided by the Food Bank of State College Area, Inc) is available at the Centre Helps, 410 S. Fraser Street
State College, Pennsylvania. They can be reached at (814) 237-5855. The Centre is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Food help is also available through some local churches including: Pleasant Gap United Methodist Church, the Milesburg Presbyterian Church, and the Fillmore United Methodist Church.

For information regarding Department of Public Welfare Food Stamps Program, please contact our local Assistance Office at (814) 863-6571.
