Benefits Check Up
Benefits Check Up is a means to educate people about the many benefit programs they may be entitled to. Sponsored by the National Council of Aging, Benefits Check Up is the nation's most comprehensive web-based service to screen benefits programs for seniors with limited resources. Millions of older Americans are eligible for but are not receiving benefits from existing local, state, federal, and privately funded benefit programs.

The programs range from social security, to prescription drugs, nutrition and food stamps, energy assistance, senior housing, employment and volunteer programs, in home services, and transportation.

You can access Benefits Check Up by clicking on the following link: www.benefitscheckup.org. You may want to organize your information by accessing the link Benefits Checkup Pre-Visit Worksheet [PDF] for a form that helps to prepare the information needed to do your screening.
