Employment Application Instructions

  • Review Centre County Government's list of available job openings.
  • Download an Employment Application (PDF) or visit the Office of Human Resources to complete the Employment Application on site.
  • The Employment Application will be accepted at the following location, by fax at (814) 355-8742, or by email:
  • To be considered for the listed job openings, the Employment Application must be received or post marked by the closing date listed in the posting.
  • Only one application is needed to apply for one or more County positions. It must be filled out completely and accurately, and bear your signature.
  • Resumes, cover letters, certifications, licenses are accepted, however they are not a substitute for the Employment Application.
  • If you are not selected for the vacancy, your application will become inactive, but retained for one year.

Pre-Employment Considerations

  • If you are selected for employment, Centre County Government has the right to conduct a full background screening which includes collection of employment references and criminal history.
  • Certain safety/security positions may require drug screening and physical examination.
