Email Emergency Communications and Addressing
Centre County 911 (also referred to as PSAP – public service answering point) was established in 1994, and has been serving it residents and businesses in our 35 municipalities with various type of emergency and non-emergency situations, using the latest state-of-the-art radio, telephone and mapping systems. Through our actions, we help those in their time of need. We are the primary contact for anyone needing police, ambulance or fire assistance.
Centre County 911 Emergency Communications is always evolving. We strive to be current with technology and programs, and the latest PEMA requirements. Our advanced 911 Center is due to our proactive, hands-on leadership -- the Director and Assistant Director -- who understand the need for planning ahead. They monitor every aspect of our department, oversee day-to-day operations, support us during peak times, and ensure we are outfitted with tools and implements needed to perform our jobs effectively and efficiently.
