The Domestic Relations Section (DRS) is a court-appointed office of Centre County Government under the Centre County Court of Common Pleas. It serves as the court’s child support enforcement agency.

The DRS prepares petitions for both child and spousal support, establishes support, enforces support orders, establishes paternity for children born out-of-wedlock, and locates absent parents.

Services are available to anyone who has custody of a child with an absent parent or to any party seeking spousal support.

The Pennsylvania Code, Rules of Civil Procedure: Pennsylvania Support Guidelines, is the official source for all rules of civil procedure. In addition to the support guidelines, other rules of civil procedure apply, as does the statute and case law, when calculating child support. In order to obtain advice on the above, it is best to consult with an attorney who can explain the law and how it might be applied in your specific case. The Centre County DRS will not give legal advice regarding the support guidelines.
