Crisis/Emergency Services

Center for Community Resources provides crisis, mental health and/or drug and alcohol hotline services for Centre County. Individuals, family members, providers, community agencies and/or law enforcement are all welcome to call the line to discuss the crisis and be provided support and resources. The crisis line is 1-800-643-5432. A Walk In Center is now available at 2100 East College Avenue that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Walk In Center is available similar to crisis line and provides necessary supports and resources in their safe and confidential location. Center for Community Resources also provides mobile crisis intervention services for individuals who may be having a mental health crisis. This support is available to anyone in Centre County. Please contact the crisis line at 1-800-643-5432 to request this service 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Center for Community Resources coordinates after hours detoxification requests using the guidelines established by Centre County Drug and Alcohol. Individuals who need support in the evening or on weekends, whether it be for information or emergency referrals for treatment, can call 1-800-643-5432, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

For individuals seeking to petition regarding involuntary hospitalizations, contact Center for Community Resources at 1-800-643-5432. Staff will discuss the need and contact the Mental Health Delegates through SAM, Inc. to coordinate the delegate.
