Education Materials

Publications

The Centre County Conservation District has a variety of education materials available for public use. We are able to supply a number of publications on conservation issues. The following is a partial list of topics:

  • Acid Mine Drainage
  • Centre County Issues
  • DEP
  • Growing Greener Grants
  • Pennsylvania Senior Environment Corps
  • Riparian Areas
  • Soils
  • Water Resources
  • Watersheds

In some cases we may not have enough copies of publications to supply a classroom. Please give us a two week notice for classroom requests.

The Enviroscape

The District owns an Enviroscape, which is an interactive model of a watershed. Educators may borrow the Enviroscape and the accompanying study guide to use in the classroom or a District staff member will come to your school to teach the watershed lesson using the Enviroscape model.

The Ground Flow Model

The District owns a Ground Flow Model that may be borrowed for classroom use. This model illustrates how water travels under the surface of the earth.
