Financial assistance is available for the PA hospitality industry. The COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Recovery Program (CHIRP) will allocate $145 million in funding assistance to the hospitality industry businesses adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Centre County Hotel Room Tax Registration Information
Welcome to the webpage with information relating to the Centre County Hotel Room Tax. The first step a homeowner should take is to contact the local municipality in which their property is located to ensure they have met all local ordinances and inspections as may be required by the municipality. Upon compliance with their local municipality, the homeowner should contact the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and our office, the Centre County Treasurer’s Office, to make arrangements to collect and remit the Pennsylvania Occupancy Tax and the County Hotel Tax. As it relates to the Centre County Hotel Tax, at this site the homeowner will find the county ordinances that put the tax in place and provide many definitions and other pertinent information the homeowner will find useful.
