Take the survey

The Centre County Commissioners are assisting the  Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) with preparing a Consolidated Plan that outlines the Commonwealth’s plans for the use of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grants in infrastructure, housing, public services, homelessness and economic development.  DCED will use this survey to help identify funding priorities for six federal HUD programs from 2019 to 2023, as well as assist in the future development of programs.

This survey helps identify the needs of all the statewide municipalities, especially the smaller, rural areas like Centre County that rely on the state for federal HUD funding.  You will note that this survey includes some specific questions on Broadband service and Disaster Resiliency, two areas of deficiency identified throughout the state. From the information gathered, priorities can be determined where there are needs in these activities that warrant specific funding from the federal programs.

Participation from a cross-section of Centre County will be helpful to the success of this survey.  We strongly encourage you to share this link with others in your community.   All citizens of Pennsylvania are allowed to take this survey and the County is encouraging as wide of a response as possible.
