The Board of Commissioners invites you to attend a “Community Conversation about Mental Health Services in Centre County” on Thursday, June 27th from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Courthouse Annex 3rd Floor, 106 East High Street, Bellefonte.
The evening will begin with a presentation from staff of the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services’ Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse and the County’s Office of Mental Health. They will provide an overview of State law, regulations, and policies governing mental health services in the Commonwealth and outline how counties implement these mandates. Additionally, Centre County staff will describe the service delivery system in Centre County and present an overview of services currently available. Following these presentations, the public will have an opportunity to ask questions and to engage in dialogue about mental health services offered in Centre County. The Board of Commissioners looks forward to hearing suggestions on how to enhance the current system. Please invite your colleagues, neighbors, and community members to this important conversation.
