Centre County Office of Emergency Services in cooperation with the Centre County Planning and Community Development Office has been in the process of updating the Centre County Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP). The multi-jurisdictional HMP must be updated every five years, and the current plan will expire in 2021. The HMP has been updated using the best and most current available information and data, conducting a thorough hazard risk assessment and vulnerability analysis, and evaluating and revising priorities and mitigation strategies to increase community resilience. The Draft 2021 Centre County Hazard Mitigation Plan is available for public review, and we would like your input. The deadline for comments is February 8, 2021. If you have any questions please contact Jessica Bodnar (jessica.bodnar@mbakerintl.com), Jody Lair (jllair@centrecountypa.gov), Ray Stolinas (rjstolinas@cenrecountypa.gov) or Elizabeth Lose (ealose@centrecountypa.gov).
