Centre County has applied to amend current ESG-CV 1 grant funds, through the DCED, to increase the services offered through the rapid re-housing program, reallocate funds within the emergency shelter program, and extend the contract expiration date.
Centre County has applied to amend current ESG-CV 1 grant funds, through the Department of Community & Economic Development, to increase the services offered through the rapid re-housing program, reallocate funds within the emergency shelter program, and extend the contract expiration date from January 8th, 2022 to June 30th, 2022.
Centre County has requested an additional $136,210.00 to expand financial assistance for households enrolled in the rapid re-housing program, to support additional case management for the rapid re-housing program, and add case management to serve individuals and households enrolled in the Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) program through the Centre County Housing Authority. Funds within the existing emergency shelter program have been reallocated to add additional staff, increase funds for hotel/motel sheltering, and purchase rapid COVID-19 tests. The Board took action on this proposed grant amendment during the weekly Board of Commissioners’ meeting on Tuesday, August 31st. The Department of Community & Economic Development is reviewing the request.
