The Centre County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO) coordinates transportation planning in Centre County. The CCMPO’s LRTP guides decision making about transportation improvements to the year 2040. The Centre County TIP is a four year financial document that lists the proposed expenditure of federal, state, and municipal funds for transportation projects. The CCMPO is proposing to add the Route 322 Potters Mills Gap project and its funding package to the LRTP 2040 and 2013-2016 TIP. The project involves a 3.75 mile section of roadway between the Village of Potters Mills and Sand Mountain Road in Potter Township.
The proposed amendments to the LRTP and TIP are available for a 30-day public comment period, which begins on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, and concludes at 5:00 pm, Friday, March 28, 2014. Citizens are encouraged to provide comments in writing or at the March 13 public meeting.
The CCMPO Coordinating Committee will consider approval of the amendments to the LRTP and TIP at its April 2014 meeting:
